i shot a fawn::But have any of us had a dream about harvesting a fawn?
Think albino deer are rare?
The attached photos are of a black whitetail fawn in a neighborhood north of austin, tx.
All the deer pictured are wild.
This is the exact opposite of albinism.
Albino deer are somewhat common, but melanistic deer are much rarer.
In central texas there have been several sightings of black deer, but most hunters around the country have never seen one of these deer in the wild.
For some reason that region of texas has more melanistic deer than other regions of the country.
About three years ago there were reports of a black fawn in the west central part of mn.
